Director/Managing Director | International Tax Services

FORVIS International Tax Services (ITS) Group strives to help companies as they work to achieve tax efficiency in their international operations. From major multinationals already operating in several countries to smaller businesses planning their first foray abroad, companies face a daunting array of regulations and tax concerns that impact and inform their global business decisions. With an international perspective and local experience, our ITS professionals provide practical advice on establishing new ventures and contracts, structuring overseas transactions in a tax-efficient manner, managing their effective tax rates and maintaining compliance with tax and trade regulations.

How you will contribute:

• Managing and developing US international tax planning strategies and projects and their implementation
• Tax consulting in a professional environment for the effective diagnosis, solution, development and implementation of international tax solutions
• Planning and modeling regarding U.S. international tax rules, such as GILTI, subpart F, foreign tax credits, BEAT, FDII, IRC sec. 163(j), etc.
• Managing complicated international projects involving topics, such as Pillar 2, IC-DISCs, and ASC 740 tax provisions
• Review of international tax forms, such as 5471, 5472, 8858, 8865, 8975, 8833, 1099, W-8, etc.
• Researching complex tax issues and preparing technical memos and documentation
• Managing, developing, and coaching professional staff
• Cultivating and developing new business

We are looking for people who have Forward Vision and:

• Excellent project management skills and ability to meet stringent client deadlines
• An aptitude to recruit and develop firm associates and team members
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to adapt, be responsive, and provide an unmatched client experience

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation or Juris Doctor
• 10 years or more of business tax experiencewith a large accounting firm or large corporate tax department of a multinational company
• International tax and ASC 740 experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA license and/or relevant advanced degree
• Experience with GoSystem Tax RS, CCH Axcess and Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE
• Bilingual in English/Spanish
