As a Managing Consultant in our Emerging Outsourced Accounting Services (eOAS) group, you will be a valued member of our team and will build relationships with our outsourcing clients. This position will offer you an excellent opportunity for career development and advancement in our growing firm.

This is an excellent role to expand your knowledge of accounting operations and gain exposure to business development activities.

The eOAS team utilizes cloud-based accounting platforms and software applications to provide recurring accounting and proactive advice to our clients.

How you will contribute:

Dedicate time to client service while coordinating work for our clients in the following areas:

• Manage client outsourced accounting engagements for small to mid-size organizations while advising on accounting matters including accounting systems, financial statements, payroll and sales taxation, and more
• Help develop, build, and manage client relationship
• Represent FORVIS in the professional and business community
• Competent and capable of:
• Formally assessing a client's current accounting system and business functions
• Recommending formal improvements to the client's system
• Implementing recommendations to the system
• Assist clients with management reporting including budgeting, KPIs, and other metrics
• Research, discovery, and creation of new business technologies to streamline and grow the practice including opportunities with existing clients
• Participate in the proposal process for prospective clients
• Assist in managing, developing, and coaching accounting outsourcing services staff
• Represent FORVIS in the professional and business community

• Ability to travel as needed (to client locations, FORVIS practice offices, and/or conferences)

Minimum Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• 7 years or more of experience in the nonprofit finance department, public accounting, or organizational accounting operations, including:
• Experience with accounting system operations software(s), monthly/period processing and closing, financial statement analysis, and preparation and supervision of staff
• Experience & working knowledge with QuickBooks and Intacct
• Experience with accounting software(s), monthly/period processing and closing, financial statement analysis and preparation
• 2 years or more of managerial duties, review of staff work, and limited project management experience
• Understanding of accounting, payroll, and sales tax cycles' best practices and other critical business functions (e.g. data security, internal controls, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA or CPA-eligible
• Prior experience in an outsourced accounting environment
• Sage Intacct, NetSuite, FENXT experience, and QuickBooks Online Advanced Certification
• Experience with Raisers Edge, Microsoft Dynamics, Abila MIP, Workday, NetSuite, Xero, SAGE50
• ADP, TriNet, Paycom, and Paychex experience required, certification
• Bill, Expensify, Concur, and Nexonia experience
• Business development experience

New York City Pay Transparency

Pursuant to the pay transparency laws of New York State and other local ordinances within the state including (but not limited to) New York City, the salary range displayed is for the New York markets. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Total compensation and benefits consist of salary, group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave. FORVIS reserves the right to make changes to the salary range based on business needs.
