Responsibilities
How you will contribute:
Providing bookkeeping and accounting services to various businesses. Services may include data entry, bank reconciliations, maintenance of A/R, A/P, & inventory accounts, answering client questions, etc.
Providing controllership services at client sites to include month-end closings and prepared/compiled financial statements.
Preparing payroll returns, sales tax returns, and 1099-Misc filings
Managing multiple clients concurrently
Assisting clients with accounting, payroll, and basic software issues
Performing or assisting with other services and special projects as needed
Developing new client relationships and proactively communicating with existing clients
Practicing Development through attending client meetings and networking functions
Obtaining a working knowledge of research techniques and various research sources
We are looking for people with Forward Vision and:
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential business matters
Reliability and ability to meet deadlines
Ability to communicate with clients clearly and professionally, and establish and maintain positive relationships with clients
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree in Accounting or higher required; Bachelor's degree preferred
As this position supports defense and intelligence contractors, US Citizenship is required for this role
At least 1 year of full charge bookkeeping, client accounting, or accounting services
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures on automated systems
Thorough working knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook
Proficiency in QuickBooks
