Position Title:

As a Managing Consultant in our Outsourced Accounting Services group, you will have the innovative opportunity to collaborate with colleagues and clients in delivering an Unmatched Client Experience.

To be successful as a Managing Consultant, you should be a self-starter that embraces technology, enjoys the challenge of solving problems and appreciates working in a variety of industries. This is an excellent role to expand your knowledge of accounting operations and gain exposure to business development activities.

How will you contribute:

• Helping to develop, build and manage client relationships
  
• Managing outsourced accounting service engagements including accounting system assessment and implementation
  
• Make recommendations for improvement in accounting operations and implement suggested recommendations
  
• Managing client accounting cycles including the period-end and annual close
  
• Review workpapers completed by internal and external resources
  
• Research, discovery, and creation of new business technologies to streamline and grow the practice including opportunities with existing clients
  
• Participate in the proposal process for prospective clients
  
• Represent the firm in the professional and business community
  
• Assist with managing, developing and coaching professional OAS staff
  

We are looking for people with Forward Vision and:

• Excellent supervisory, team building and time management skills
  
• Aptitude and passion to learn new software(s) and other technologies
  
• A strong sense of ownership for delivering ultra-responsive Client Service
  
• Ability to travel as needed (to client locations, FORVIS practice offices and/or conferences)
  
• Excellent presentation and communication skills targeted to external clients and internal firm resources
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in public accounting, organizational accounting operations including accounting system operations, financial statement preparation and supervision of accounting, payroll, and sales tax functions
  
• Ability to navigate several accounting packages and add-on platforms
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with accounting software(s), monthly/period processing and closing, financial statement analysis and preparation
  
• Experience with Sage Intacct
  
• QuickBooks Online Advanced Certification
  
• CPA certificate
  
• Business development experience
