Position Title:

External Description: Responsibilities

In this role, you will primarily be responsible for augmenting FORVIS tax engagement teams in applying tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles top prepare or review tax returns, tax payments, and income tax accounting entries while delivering outstanding client service.

How you will contribute:

  • Prepare/review 1040 returns, 1041 experience a plus
  • Prepare/review Flow Through business returns to include making applicable book/tax entries
  • International and state tax return experience a plus
  • Learn/use FORVIS tax technology applications through on-the-job training
  • Ensure the confidentiality of each client by following all FORVIS procedures

This position has flexible hours as mutually agreed upon by FORVIS and can be done remotely. We ask for a commitment of at least 20 hours per week when available, but 40 hours or more would be preferred.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 3 years or more of tax accounting, preferably with in a large public accounting environment
  • CPA or EA certification preferred but not required
  • Prior experience with seasonal work a plus
  • Supervisory experience
  • Tax return review experience
  • BS in Accounting

Preferred Qualifications:
  • CCH Axcess, GoSystems, Corptax, OneSource, BNA fixed assets and/or TaxStream experience
  • Experience with SurePrep a plus
