External Description: Overview

FORVIS actively seeks students who are motivated, curious, and eager to take the first step in their career. Interns gain real-life experience, develop strong technical and interpersonal skills, and have access to unparalleled mentorship opportunities.

As an intern at FORVIS, you will gain valuable experience that may help you decide whether you want to start your career in audit , tax or advisory . You will work on client engagements like those assigned to our entry-level associates, gaining exposure to a variety of industries, and testing out your technical know ledge . You will work alongside our senior staff and management personnel, learning from their experience as you develop your skillset.

This internship will be part-time and on-site in our Memphis, TN office. The ideal candidate is at least a sophomore or junior in college, majoring in accounting.

How you will contribute :

• Work ing with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data
• Prepar ing individual, corporate, partnership, or other tax returns
• Calculat ing tax extension or estimate payments

• Participat ing in client meetings alongside FORVIS partners and managers

We are looking for people who have Forward Vision and:

• Solid technical accounting knowledge
• Effective time management

• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills preferred, including Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to work well with a team as well as independently
• Problem-solving attitude
• Willingness to take initiative

• Close attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and against deadlines.
• Intern candidates must be working toward an accounting degree and CPA exam eligibility
• C andidates within 2 years of completing their Bachelor's degree preferred
