• Developing, in collaboration with a AAS Partner/ MD, your personal plan and leading the implementation thereof
• Leading efforts to develop new client relationships
• Leading efforts to build, train and develop team
• Having accountability for quality control over projects and providing input to the practice
• Finding a solution to problems in service delivery as they arise
• Providing technical oversight on projects and advising on technical accounting in accordance with the respective accounting guidance
• Advising on intricate transactions including IPOs, SPACs, and other M&A transactions
• Coaching team members to high levels of performance and being highly collaborative

We are looking for people with Forward Vision and:

• Demonstrated leadership ability, including leading multiple engagement teams simultaneously
• Strong problem resolution and collaboration skills
• Strong accounting guidance research skills
• Strong technical accounting background and willingness to learn new things
• Ability to travel as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA license
• 10 years or more of experience in public accounting, accounting advisory, or departmental leadership for accounting and technical reporting for an SEC registrant or a company that underwent the IPO process
• Held one or more prior leadership positions with oversight of multiple team members
• Strong proven technical expertise in the areas of financial accounting, financial reporting, SEC reporting, M&A, or financial operations
• Strong communication skills including strong verbal, listening, and writing skills
• Experience in leading communications with C-level client executives
• Previous business development experience
• Experience working for or advising organizations through an initial public offerings

Preferred Qualifications:

• SEC financial reporting assistance including advising on Form S-1, S-4, 10-Q, or 10-Ks or foreign private issuer equivalents
• Experience serving SPACs through the registration process and through de-SPAC transactions
• Advising on intricate financial reporting matters and technical accounting issues
• Development of technical memos and assistance with elaborate accounting calculations
