Position Title:

External Description: Responsibilities

How you will contribute:

• Serving on a variety of audit and accounting technical advisory engagements as the in-charge overseeing the day-to-day performance of the engagement.
• Coordinating the engagement team on all phases of the engagement, including communications with the client, staffing requirements, job planning and scheduling
• Researching and implementing complex accounting standards including the new lease standard, revenue recognition, business combinations, stock compensation and SEC rules and regulations
• Serving as liaison to Company auditors in audit and IPO readiness engagements
• Drafting financial statements and footnotes in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and SEC regulations
• Preparing technical accounting memorandums
• Assessing engagement risks, determining nature, extent, and timing of procedures to perform
• Bringing to the attention of engagement leadership any significant findings or questions that involve accounting principles or financial statement presentation

• Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism Human relations skills to deal effectively with clients, staff, and/or co-workers in a professional manner
• Professional demeanor towards duties and responsibilities, particularly with regard to independence, professional ethics, and the exercise of professional judgment
• Must be reliable and able to meet deadlines
• Strong organizational, time management and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• BA or BS in Accounting or related field
• 2 years or more of professional level accounting experience
• External audit experience
• CPA or CPA candidate
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures on manual and automated systems
• Demonstrated ability to perform accounting and auditing technical research
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to travel to serve clients as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience auditing traded companies
