Responsibilities
This role will primarily support the sales and use tax compliance function for the firm and work closely with the team. The position will include a steady and stable workload to assist with the day to day aspects of compliance and compliance related services for our clients. In addition, the role may also include basic data analysis for audit support, automation and consulting engagements.
- Preparation of sales tax data received from clients to be used in sales and use tax return processing
- Preparation of sales and use tax returns for various taxing jurisdictions
- Electronically filing sales and use tax returns on the taxing jurisdictions website
- Processing sales and use tax payments for clients as part of the return filing process
- Communicate with clients clearly and professionally while establishing and maintaining positive relationships with clients
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential business matters
- Exercises strong sense of professional ethics and judgment
- Must be reliable and able to meet deadlines
- May be required to perform or assist with other services and special projects as needed such as data analysis relating to audit and consulting engagements
- Obtain a working knowledge of sales and use tax return preparation software

Qualifications
- Minimum of Associates degree is required, preferably in business or accounting
- High degree of computing acumen is preferred
- GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred
- Sales tax experience preferred but not necessary as we will train the desired individual
- Thorough working knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel and Outlook required
- Effectively collaborate with visitors, clients, staff and coworkers in a professional manner required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required
